A social project, that collects data on road accidents. It helps to analyze data experts, activists, journalists and others.
The main goal is to improve road safety and reduce deaths on the roads.
Wireframes
I saw the news that about project “Road Accident Maps”. The creators asked for advice and recommendations to send them. I looked at the interface, commented, and made a quick prototype. After a short discussion, I was offered to work with the interface in more detail.
Version 1
The first version was rejected. Opening of detailed statistics at the bottom left is not obvious. And too far gone from the prototype, which they initially liked.
At the same time, the idea to combine city selector and search for an address by it was accepted.
Version 2
Design became cleaner.
Filters was approved.
City selector placed near to filters wasn’t approved.
The statistics are more accentuated in version B, but the graphs make some noise.
Version 3
This version received more heredity from the first prototype and was approved.
I worked on the filters and think about the statistics.
Final version
Updated filters, map colors and POI.
The main data was transferred near to top left side with adding the district.
New look of statistics.
Designed detailed accident card and news pages.
